Three Worship Services

Beginning Sunday, May 31st, we will be celebrating with three Services on Sundays.  The 11:00 Contemporary Service, "Summer Jam in the Gym", will be moving into the Familly Life Center for the summer.  We will also have a "Cokesbury Service" held at 11:00 in the Chapel.  There will be no changes to our 8:30 Service at this time.  We are excited about these changes for the summer and look forward to God's abundant blessings!!

YAC Dedication

A formal dedication of our Youth and Activity Center will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, at 6:00 pm.  Bishop Gary E. Mueller, along with Jacksonville Mayor, Gary Fletcher, will be present to assist with the dedication.  We encourage your attendance at the official dedication of our YAC building.  Please make plans to dine at the Mission 5000 free meal at 5:30 pm, prior to the dedication.

The Tenth Annual IBLA Grand Prize concert for Jacksonville will be held on Friday, May 8th, at 7:00 pm, here at Jacksonville First United Mehodist Church.  This is the tenth year that JFUMC will host the concern featuring the sinners of the IBLA Grand Prize Music & Voice competition held each summer in Ragusa, Sicily.  This concert is FREE TO THE PUBLIC.  We would like to fill the Church to capacity, so please invite your family and friends to attend.  These musicians come from all over th eworld to perform here, and we need to show them an enthusiastic JFUMC welcome!

The Class of 2015 will be recognized on Sunday, May 17th, in the 8:30 and 11:00 am Services.   Please join us as we honor this year's graduates.

Building Better Moms is a program for mothers with children newborn to high school that meet to focus on a variety of topics such as discipline, building faith as a family, peer influences, etc.  This group meets during the school year to enjoy fellowship, speakers and group discussions.  The first meetings will be held the first and third Wednesdays of September at 6:30 pm, in the Connection Center.  Childcare will be provided.  Registration begins on Sunday, May 10th, with tables located in the Narthex and Welcome Center.  We are thrilled to offer this new program to the community and hope you will join the BBM family.  If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact Melanie Churchill at 870-833-0925 or Carolyn Gray at 501-351-5083.

This year's Vacation Bible School program, "Everest - Conquering Challenges with God's Mighty Power", will be July 12 - 15.  Details will be forthcoming.
